Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that’s why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

One of the biggest concerts of the past weekend featured some of the biggest American stars crossing the Atlantic to take the stage in Bangor, Wales for the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend Festival. Ke$ha brought some good old fashioned American values to the table with her gun-shaped guitar and American flag hot pants, but when Justin Bieber took the stage on Saturday (May 22), he was all about love. He even flashed the heart symbol to the crowd of adoring fans who went crazy for the singer’s every hit, including recent smashes “Baby” and “Eenie Meenie.” Bieber shared the main stage with the likes of Alicia Keys and 30 Seconds to Mars on Saturday, while Sunday (May 23) featured Paramore, Rihanna and the aforementioned Ke$ha.

Justin Bieber’s people made it very clear when JB appeared at Radio 1 over the weekend that they were not to ask Justin about his tattoo. However, it is being reported that Fearne Cotton didn’t heed the warnings and asked Justin – who stormed out of the interview and reportedly flipped her the bird…yikes!

We just can’t believe this rumor is true. Maybe Justin walked out of the interview, but he’s so suave all the time we bet he did it calm and courteously.

The recording world often sees interesting pairings. The latest newsworthy duet comes via a song called “Rich Girl”. Who sings it? Why the baby-faced Justin Bieber and rapper Soulja Boy. They might come from different musical genres, but the pair reportedly met on iChat, then decided a collaboration was in order. He reminds me of myself,” Soulja Boy told Billboard.

“Rich Girl” is slated to be released as a track on Dr. Dre’s upcoming studio album entitled “Dre”, which should be released sometime in July. Kanye West and Lil Wayne are also expected to contribute to Dre’s album, while powerhouses Beyonce, Eminiem, and Jay-Z are also being sought.

This news comes just one week after Justin Beiber’s appearance on the American Idol stage. We’ve got the video in case you missed it.

Earlier this year, before a single Justin Bieber album had been released in Latin America , the teen star from Ontario, Canada, was already an Internet sensation south of the border.

“I remember getting a call from Island Def Jam saying Brazil was the No. 2 country after the U.S. with YouTube hits for Justin Bieber,” says Gabriela Carrilho, vice president of international marketing for Universal Music Latin America.

By now, it’s clear that Biebermania knows no boundaries in terms of language or ethnicity. But in Latin America, Bieber’s rise has been swift and region-wide despite the fact that he has yet to set foot in any Latin country and has done only one interview with the local press (for Brazilian magazine Epoca).

The success highlights the Web’s tremendous — and often untapped — potential for developing acts in the region.

“Bieber is real proof that the way kids are listening to music these days is different from five years ago or maybe even two or three years ago,” Carrilho says, noting that Bieber was a Latin American phenomenon not only before the album’s release but also before the label did any radio promotion.

As of May 14, Bieber’s album “My Worlds” — an international release that combines “My World” and “My World 2.0? — was the top-selling album in Mexico and Colombia and No. 2 in Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela, only weeks after its March 22 release. With the exception of Mexico, which released “My World” earlier this year, this is the first and only Bieber album to come out in Latin America.

Justin chatted with BILD about what kind of girl he wants: ‘A girl has to have a beautiful smile, beautiful eyes and she should have a good sense of humour. She should be honest, loving and trustworthy. It would be a shame to go out with a hot girl you can’t have a decent conversation with! Anything above 40 is a little too old for me. I just look for a girl who is funny and has nice eyes and a smile.’

During Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Justin’s people said that nobody could ask him about his birthday tattoo, but Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton asked. Justin didn’t like it and after refusing to reply he stomped out of the interview, according to Heat World. Later that day Justin reportedly drove around..

..flicking the finger at everyone, including JLS, Diana Vickers, Dizzee Rascal and Cheryl Cole, who were also performing. But, when Justin returned to the stage is was promptly greeted by boos. Does anyone have proof of the boos? Justin is really popular is Latin American now:

‘Biebermania knows no boundaries in terms of language or ethnicity. But in Latin America, Bieber’s rise has been swift and region-wide despite the fact that he has yet to set foot in any Latin country and has done only one interview with the local press. Bieber is real proof that the way kids are listening to music these days is different from five years ago or maybe even two or three years ago.’

Other teen acts, like Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez, also have developed avid fans in the region. But their rise was more gradual and benefited from exposure on their Disney shows and visits to Latin American countries. ‘You can tell it’s a very real and very organic kind of demand for Justin. That’s how they find and almost instantaneously idolize a young man that they themselves describe on social sites as ‘beautiful, tender and perfect.’‘ Full article @ ABC.
